Recruitment Update from Susan Burckart

Quick Kappa News -

I just wanted to update everyone on well recruitment is running at Gamma Nu. We began rush with about 950 girls on Monday, and were allowed to return 420 girls for our second round of parties. Wednesday's parties wentextremely well. Following conversation, Pickers sang, and then Kappa's Philanthropy, RIF, was explained. A precious video was shown of our members volunteering, and listing our many awards. The day went very smoothly! I'm thrilled to report that our clickers worked beautifully. We were finished with our selection session by 9:30 PM, which is amazing!

One final gentle reminder, the actives are not to communicate with anyone outside the house regarding recruitment... even alums. So if you have needs, don't hesitate to call, text, or email me.

Calling all Kappas!! WE DO NEED VOTE COUNTERS FRIDAY NIGHT!!

All has gone well with the "clickers;" however, the girls feel more comfortable with the paper method. If you are open at 6:30 PM and can assist, please email me and let me know. Also, if you want to ask another alum to come with you, just let me know who to expect. Please be at the date call door at 6:30 tonight!

NWA AA Members Assemble Snack Bags

Ever wonder what your membership dues are used for? Well, here is a great example!

On Tuesday, August 17th, NWA alums gathered high protein snacks and gatorade and assembled them into 175 goody bags for the Gamma Nu actives to munch on during their first Recruitment voting session .

What a great way to put your membership dues to work and support our local Kappa chapter!

I think the actives would agree!

Anne Jackson, Vice President

Anne Jackson was initiated into Gamma Nu in 1999. She received her degree in Journalism, Advertising and Public Relations in 2003 from the U of A. Anne is the Development Director for Single Parent Scholarship Fund of Northwest Arkansas and currently serves on a number of boards: Ozark Literacy Council, Fayetteville Metro Kiwanis, Association of Fundraising Professionals, Leadership Link through the Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce and the KKG NWA Alumnae Association. In addition, Anne is currently serving her second year as the Philanthropy Adviser for Gamma Nu after three years as Chapter Council Adviser.

Natalie Bartholomew, Treasurer

Natalie is a loan officer for Arvest Bank and lives in Prairie Grove with her husband Colt and newborn son, Brody. She was initiated into Gamma Nu in 2001 and has served as the NWA Alumnae Association Treasurer for four years. She received her bachelor's degree in Agricultural Business from the U of A in 2005 and her Master's degree in Agricultural Economics in 2005. She currently serves as the President of the Prairie Grove Chamber of Commerce and is the Secretary of the Washington County Fair Board.
